I have a small sketch to share of a statue of the boy King Ramsses II. If you click on the image you can see the a larger version.
I love the British Museum as there is so much there and to be honest I felt a little spoilt for things to draw!.
This is my travel journal page spread. While at the Museum I visited the Sutton Hoo gallery and found the helmet very dramatic so purchased the postcard in the gallery shop!
At the time, Jerry took a photo of me drawing. I think I look a funny lady drawing
Again nice to see you and your skillful sketch!
Thanks Anneliese – I have enjoyed sketching on this trip
Nah, you don’t look any funnier than I would – and the results are far better than mine would be.=)
Gosh, the time’s almost up and you’ll be flying off to Tokyo in a few days’ time! Don’t miss Asakusa where there’s a huge souvenir market (lots of design inspiration) and a temple complex which is well worth a look.
Enjoy!
Yes flying out to Tokyo tomorrow so off to the Laundromat so I am packing clean clothes!
Lovely. Nice to see you ‘in the zone’ (no funny lady there!)
Hi Juno – yes I guess it was a case of being ‘in the zone’ – I was concentrating
You look happy!!! What a fine subject as well…
How could I not be happy! I am acutely aware of how privileged I am and thankful – yes I am enjoying myself but I still think I look funny
The British Museum! How exciting! Love your sketch and you don’t look funny. Safe travel to Tokyo.
I wouldn’t have said ‘funny’; interesting and interested maybe, but never funny. It’s a fabulous opportunity and it’s great that you are taking full advantage. Funny, shmunny 🙂
BTW I love the top you are wearing, it’s brilliant. A recent purchase perhaps?
Hi Chris – the top is an Aussie designer – TS is the lable
Lovely to see your great sketches and look forward to you posting more!! That helmet is a very powerful object isn’t it?
