    Thanks for this. What and interesting observation. I know some years ago here in South Africa there was a picture in the newspaper of some children looking through a old farm gate with barbed wire around it and the article was about deprivation and children being locked in and forced to work; it turned out a few weeks later that the old gate was alongside the road and the children were just playing around. Go figure 🙂

    • Thanks for the comment Juno – yes news reportage uses this technique a lot. In my view that is lazy journalism and sometimes what is depicted is actually far more innocent than the crop or the article would have us believe.
